  • How to Prepare before arriving for your wax appointment

    Please:

shower before arriving to your appointment, Cleanliness is greatly appreciated.

    Hair:

should be a quarter of an inch, this is about 10-14 days of growth and is about the length of a grain of rice. If hair is shorter or longer we will need to reschedule appointment.

Do Not Shave in between sessions:

Shaving will upset your skin and disturb the way the follicle grows making it more painful to wax.

Gently Exfoliate the night before your appointment:

Taking a warm bath or shower will soften your skin making it easier to wax and more successful at the hair coming out without breaking. Exfoliating removes any extra dead skin around the area. You can dry brush or use an exfoliating or acne cleanser.

    Breathing:

We ask that you take a few deep breaths. This will help with relaxing yourself and muscles. It doesn’t hurt as much as you might have heard, we would love to see you return. Deep Breaths will help with anxiety and pain tolerance.

    It gets so much better:

If this is your first time, we understand you don’t know what to expect and may be scared. Our advice is that the first time is the hardest since your hair is much thicker than it will become in your future appointments, especially if you have been shaving. As you keep waxing your hair follicle will become thin and easier to pull out of the skin. It just becomes easier and easier and you feel the difference. It will feel like less hair is coming through and that is soft.

    Before you come:

If you are looking for ways to ease any discomfort you may meditate or take 2 Advil 20 minutes before your appointment. Some clients have said that this really helps take the edge off while being waxed.

It will be over before you know it:

Being hairless is completely worth a

small window of time of discomfort. Your self-confidence will become apparent and you will feel like your best self!

Thank you for reading, we are so excited for your appointment!
